Purple Moose Brewery produces limited edition Glasyn Ale for NWWT
November 7, 2013
Beautiful wildlife and views and beautiful real ale! That’s the combination that has come together as Purple Moose Brewery joined up with the North Wales Wildlife Trust to produce a special limited edition of its awarding wining Glaslyn Ale.
Chris Wynne, Wildlife Trust Conservation Officer said, “It seemed obvious really. We manage a wonderful reserve on the Glaslyn at Porthmadog. It is home to a wide range of birds such a Red-breasted merganser but also flowers like Welsh Marsh Orchid. From the hide and Cob you get beautiful views across the reserve to Eryri. Meanwhile, Purple Moose Brewery produce Glaslyn Ale.”
Lawrence Washington, Managing Director of Purple Moose Brewery added, “We are delighted to be able to work with the North Wales Wildlife Trust and help them to celebrate this milestone in their history. We are extremely lucky to have such rich and diverse natural beauty just a stone’s throw from the brewery, in the Glaslyn Estuary. Clearly, Glaslyn Ale was the obvious choice for this special bottle-conditioned celebratory tipple.”
Chris added “The partnership with Purple Moose Brewery, who use Welsh mountain water in their brewing, also highlights that a wildlife-rich countryside is a good indicator for clear, clean water ”.
Limited edition, special labeled bottles of the golden-coloured fruity Glaslyn Ale, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Wildlife Trust will be available at selected outlets across North Wales and also at the Conwy Food Feast at the end of October. Purple Moose Brewery will be donating 10 pence per bottle sold to the Wildlife Trust.
The partnership comes in the Wildlife Trust’s 50th anniversary year and is part of a series of events and activities across the year.
